Hello everyone!
Sorry for the delay, having to go back to the office a few days every week has thrown my schedule for a loop. But I wanted to update you on the status of book 3.
It’s almost done!
I went on a bit of an editing tear over the course of last week. I’m done roughly about 85 to 90% of the final draft, just working on the finale (climax and the falling action afterward). If I focus this week on completing the last bit, I should be able to hand it off to my editor this weekend.
But that isn’t where things end. There’s still a lot of work to be done and ideally I’d like to try and finish by either the end of March or early April. While I finished the new cover for book 1, I still have to update book 1 with a few corrections to some cultural references. I did also want to update the map if time allowed, feeling that it’s not quite as clear as I would like. I still also have to update the cover art for book 2 as well. But something else I want to make sure I do correctly this time is come up with a proper marketing strategy to get my books out there to more people. That will take some time to figure out.
What this means is that I’ll be taking a short break to get all of these objectives done or at least make significant progress towards completing them. I’ll resume posting ideally by early April again and continue as normal.
