Hello everyone!
Some great news and some mixed news.
Starting with the great news. The print proofs for the new editions of The Legend of Nariko Mark of Silverfrost and The Goddess Prophecy should be arriving today! Redoing the map and correcting the book cover alignment took a bit longer than I expected. I wanted to clean up a few parts of the map and rename a few of the locations to be a bit more unique to the world to eventually add in expanded storytelling and eventually write more books in this series outside of Nariko’s main story. I also corrected a few issues with some cultural aspects that I felt needed correcting.
Now for the mixed news, book 3 publication taking a bit longer than anticipated. There were a multitude of hiccups, mostly getting the new editions ready, but also taking some time to study art tutorials to try and create a better book cover for it. My editor did a fantastic job of pushing himself and getting his part done but I still have to go through and make the changes and finalize the manuscript. Those also knowing the events of book 2 know the map also changes a bit. All that said, I’m hoping to finish this week however there’s also the issue that I might not get the print proof until the last week of December which might mean publication might be the first week of January which would be the worst case scenario. I’m hoping that’s not the case but we will have to see.
