Return from Hiatus

Hello Everyone!

Hope you’re all doing well. I’ve taken a bit longer than I intended to but the break has helped me to organize my thoughts, my projects, and my schedule to a bit more of a stable flow. I’ve got a lot that’s surprisingly taken shape and form in a way that feels tangible. I’m very excited to hopefully get these projects up and running very soon.

The Legend of Nariko: Book 4

The fourth book in The Legend of Nariko series is currently in the first draft. I’m working through several different ideas for the story within book 4 and how it relates to the overall series. I know the core plot points that must happen and it’s been quite fun thinking about the different story ideas to get to that point. The most difficult part, determining how book 4 transitions to the next arc that starts in book 5, has been established so I’m feeling more confident in this draft.

Science Fiction Novel Progress

This story is taking a bit of a turn as Science Fiction is still quite a new genre for me. I’ve got a lot of ideas formulating in my mind and the worldbuilding has been a fun and exciting, though difficult project. The main challenge comes from the feeling that I want a more grounded science fiction story that doesn’t feel too out there and part of the problem with that is understanding what is feasible and what is just magic disguised as future science. Luckily I have some friends helping me workshop some ideas which helps a lot.

Kaguya, The Wayfarer Chronicles [Manga in progress]

I’m very excited to start work on this manga series that came to mind. I have done a lot of brainstorming and worldbuilding for this series and am hoping to start working on the first chapter very soon and sharing it with the world. I’m still looking into how I want to share it as I would also like to create a proper printed manga version of it as well. It’s a new venture and I’m excited to see it come to fruition!

Regarding the blog itself, I plan to continue doing book reviews on a biweekly basis as I find reading helps my brain to stay creative and keep me focused on story writing. As many have said before, you become a better writer as you become a consistent reader. I want to continue my book reviews and story analysis to help not only myself but others looking to become better writers as well.

Thank you all for your patience as I took the month of May to organize myself, my thoughts, and my goals so that I can properly work towards them. I hope you’ll come to enjoy all of these projects when they are released! 😊
