Sorry to say that I went on a brief hiatus for the month of March. I’m so close to finishing book 2 of the Legend of Nariko series that I wanted to go into overdrive to finish the draft. I can then submit to my editors, get it cleaned up, get the ARCs out and have it ready for publish this Fall (that’s the hope!!). 🙂
I also wanted to take some time to fix up some things I’ve been neglecting in life. I recently watched an episode of Marie Kondo and it inspired me to finally go through with cleaning up my home. I want to make it inspiring and help to give me that energy to persevere in my goals.
Meditation is also something I wanted to give more effort into learning. I’ve been dabbling in it but never really exploring it as much as I should. Recently I started drinking tea after my morning coffee and I noticed how much of an impact it had on my anxiety, discipline and focus. That small change helped so much to keep me productive. I’m hoping by studying meditation more seriously I’ll be able to get that discipline I’ve been trying to achieve.
There are also a number of self help books and books on writing, history and mythology I wish to tackle to broaden my understanding as a writer. I’m to incorporate these into my weekly blog posts to share anything interesting I may learn. I found these books to be incredibly helpful in helping me feel better, appreciate life more and stay disciplined in my writing.
