Book Proof still has not arrived

Hello everyone,

While this has been a frustrating wait for the final book proof to arrive, I do have to acknowledge several things. The first being that this is the Christmas season and to expect my final book print to take precedence over the thousands of gifts shipping out for the holidays is a rather selfish. The second being that technically it’s still within the timeframe of delivery, it’s just that normally the proof arrives within 5 days of placing the order. The last day of the eta is in the new year around January 4^th which is unfortunate. The final thing I’ve come to recognize is that the pandemic has made shipping for all things more difficult I imagine and I have to feel for the staff having to work in the frantic warehouses, especially at this time of year.

After getting past the frustrations of the delay, I’ve come to realize that part of the blame is on me. I took a very long time trying to perfect this book as much as possible and, in that sense, I’ve chosen to continually delay it’s release. I do apologize for that. I’m hoping to use this time to work out how to create volume 1 and finalize the outline for book 3. I need to be better about this if I am to be the best author I can be.

I think I will be taking a break for the next two weeks to reflect on what happened this year, what it has done to me, and how to move forward from here. There was a lot about this year I didn’t like about myself but also a lot I have to recognize were beneficial for developing myself as an author and an artist. I will be returning on January 4th with, hopefully, the announcement of the publishing date for The Legend of Nariko: The Goddess Prophecy.
