Many of you who have been reading this blog may be aware that I am also working on completing my first novel. I am happy to say that I have been able to make a lot of progress and I hope to finish writing by December!
My main problem, which is probably the problem most young first time authors may face as well, is finding the time to write. In the beginning, it was fairly easy to write chapter after chapter, but as time progressed, university, friends, family and sometimes work, take up more and more time. I find that it is becoming more and more difficult to find time to sit down and write, even when I have some ideas I feel are brilliant, but I believe that I can motivate myself to sit down and write!
When the time comes, I will learn and share what is necessary in order to have a novel published. It isn’t so much that I want to publish to make money, but that I would love to share my story with everyone and proudly say that I wrote this book. This may not be what everyone feels when writing a book, but I believe that the majority of authors out there do believe this and I feel that it makes the author more passionate about their work.
